tl;dr;
🥺 One week, no confirmed sightings. This milestone sucks.
An unfamiliar cat was spotted outside of the area we’ve been mostly looking.
An unfamiliar cat with white markings may have been spotted at a stray shelter nearby
Maybe Dublin sprinted until he couldn’t anymore and is much further away than we think.

As always, we thank you for keeping an eye out for Dublin. We’ve met some incredibly caring people watching out for our buddy.
It rained for a long time last night, maybe the weather has motivated Dublin to move, hopefully closer to home.
Can a cat disappear community with 167 homes and completely evade detection for an entire week?
So now what
Hundreds of lost cat flyers have been distributed, one to each home in our community. We’ve left out food, water, shelter, left clothing outside along with his blanket. We’ve played the sound of his favourite squeak toy outside all night long. We’ve made it so that if Dublin find his way back, this is his home. No question.
We check the lost pets groups PEI Humane Society found pets daily.
We’ve looked under sheds, under trees, under shrubs. I’ve crawled under houses, and we’ve walked the same route nightly hoping that it leaves some kind of trail to help him sniff his way home.
It’s hard to say it, but it seems we have done everything we can do and now it’s up to the community to watch out for him and Dublin to make himself known.
Do working search dogs need training exercises to help keep their skills sharp?
Cats have names.
We’ve learned that Tabby8 is Murphy and Calico8 is Patty. Properly packaged in order, Patty & Murphy. Genius sibling names. Patty is really friendly and trots over to say hello to get some scratches. Murphy keeps his distance yet always seems jealous that he’s not getting attention. It looks like he so wants to trust people. You can trust me, Murph. I give good scratches.
