Before I get into it, we just want to thank everyone who reached out after we brought Dublin home safe, healthy and a little smelly. You are some of the finest humans around.
Dublin has been home for 11 days now. Those 11 days seem to have just flown by compared to those same days he was missing.
Dublin is back to his normal self, I think. He missed his vet appointment last week on the count of the doctor having a sick day. He’s been rescheduled for later in July – and since he’s eating and doing all the things healthy cats do, it’s less of a priority.
The first few days Dublin was home, he slept. A lot. We got his shedding under control after a few good sessions with the brush. He’s sleeping normal hours and playing again, too! He’s a champion at fetch. Usually it’s an early morning session while the kettle works away at boiling water for coffee.
There are no noticeable personality changes. The first few days he would knead anytime we held him, that’s gone away now – and he seems to have told all the stories he had to tell. He’s back to the strong, silent type of cat. Silently judging.
There’s still the slightest scent of skunk on his belly, but he’s working on it. 🙂
I prayed for Sir Dublin to come home and had a very tearful day with joy when I heard the good news. I know my sister had a lot to do with bringing him back to Chris and Amber with her strong powers from above. Joy all around and so many great people helping and praying in the search. Not sure what Sir Dublin is to me but he is in my heart. xxx
